Update the email address password on Apple Mail (macOS / iOS)
This guide explains how to update the password for an email address configured on Apple Mail after changing it from an Infomaniak Mail Service.

Apple Mail (macOS)
Here's how to access the password settings (complete guide - click here):
- Open the Mail application
- Click on the Mail menu in the top left corner
- Select Preferences
- Click on the Accounts tab
- Ensure that the relevant account is selected
- Click on the Server Settings tab
- Enter the IMAP password
- Enter the SMTP password (identical)
- Click the Save button
iOS (iPhone, iPad, etc.)
Here's how to access the password settings (complete guide - click here):
- Tap the Settings icon
- Tap Mail
- Tap Accounts
- Tap the account associated with the Infomaniak email address
- Tap the IMAP settings
- Update the password in the Incoming Mail Server section
- Tap the SMTP Server in the Outgoing Mail Server section to update the password or resolve a missing SMTP server issue, for example
- Tap the server associated with the Infomaniak email address (or if it's missing, tap below to Add a Server and configure it according to these instructions)
- Turn on the SMTP server if necessary
- Update the password and verify all settings, including password authentication
- Tap Done in the upper right corner
- The SMTP account is now correctly enabled, tap Account
