Update the email password on Apple Mail (macOS / iOS)
This guide explains how to update the password of an email address configured on Apple Mail after changing it from an Infomaniak Mail Service.

- Infomaniak mail is compatible with any application supporting IMAP/SMTP.

Apple Mail (macOS)
To access the password settings (refer to the complete guide if necessary):
- Open the Mail application.
- Click on the Mail menu in the top left corner.
- Select Settings.
- Click on the Accounts tab.
- Make sure the relevant account is selected.
- Click on the Server Settings tab.
- Enter the IMAP password.
- Enter the SMTP password (same as the IMAP password).
- Click on the Save button:
iOS (iPhone, iPad, etc.)
Here is how to access the password settings (refer to the complete guide if necessary):
- Press the Settings icon
- Press the Mail icon
- Press Accounts
- Click on the account associated with the Infomaniak email address
- click on the IMAP settings
- Update the password in the Incoming Server section.
- Click on the SMTP server in the Outgoing Server section to update the password or resolve an issue with a missing SMTP server, for example
- Press the server associated with the Infomaniak email address (or if it is missing, press below on Add a server and configure it according to these instructions):
- Turn ON to activate the SMTP server if necessary.
- Update the password and check all settings, including password authentication.
- Press Validate at the top right:
- The SMTP account is now correctly activated, press Account:
