Forward one or more emails received to a recipient
This guide explains who to send one or more emails already received to a recipient by adding them in the body of the message directly or as an attachment (this enables you to forward the entire message with its headers and not just its content).
Transfer with Mail, the Infomaniak webmail
- Open Mail (mail.infomaniak.com)
- Open the message to be forwarded
- Click on the Forward icon at the top right of your message
By default the original email will be clearly mentioned directly in the body of the reply email.
Configure Mail for the method of forwarding
You can configure Mail so that an email forwarding operation is always performed as an attachment and not written in the body of the message. To set this option:
- Open Mail (mail.infomaniak.com)
- Click on the
icon at the top right then select General
- In the SEND section, select the desired option ("As attachment") for "Forward the emails:"
- Click on Save
Forward several messages at the same time
Via Mail, you can select up to 5 messages present in the inbox or in a folder and click on the forward arrow at the top of the frame:
Regardless of the forwarding method saved in the Mail settings (body of the message or attachment), if you forward between 2 and 5 messages, these will automatically be sent as an attachment with a new email.
With a messaging software
Here, the principle to be followed to forward a message to a recipient as an attachment with certain versions of Outlook or other similar applications:
Alternative solutions
The principle is different if you want to redirect ALL your new incoming messages automatically (please read this FAQ relating to deviations) or if you wish to FILTER certain incoming messages which should be redirected automatically on receipt (please read this FAQ relating to filters).
