Support for WordPress MS (multisite) ex-WPMU
This guide explains how to set up a network of WordPress sites in order to manage several sites from the same WordPress Infomaniak installation (WordPress & Apps), with URL addresses of the type site1.your-domain-here, site2.your- domain-here, or even with your-domain1.com, your-domain2.com, etc.

Installing WordPress Multisite
- install WordPress via Infomaniak on your hosting space
- connect by ftp
- edit the wp-config.php file
- above the line "/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */" add:
Then go to TOOLS in your WordPress to create a network.
Follow directions. In particular, you will need:
- remove any SSL certificate
- disable WordPress plugins
Add sites to your WP network
- in WordPress, go back to TOOLS > Network creation
- choose the method for creating your different WordPress (on sub-domains )
- add the necessary indications in the wp-config.php and .htaccess on the server
- after reconnecting to your WordPress you will get a new menu "My sites" in which you can add and manage your different sites of the same network
- on the Manager , add an alias to your site in the form *.your-domain-here (the asterisk allows you to create a wildcard alias) with DNS update so that the correct CNAME is automatically added in the zone
- when you create a new site within the network, by naming it for example site1 then it will become accessible via site1.your-domain-here and so on
Subdomain and whole domain
Right after the addition in the WordPress network, you have the possibility to modify the URL of the added site:
Click Edit Site to specify the full URL:
