This guide explains how to be notified when new emails arrive with the web app Mail Infomaniak (online service mail.infomaniak.com).

Preamble

• Mail Infomaniak is compatible with web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) that offer visual alerts for incoming messages in the background.
• The mobile app Infomaniak Mail (iOS / Android) also offers to use the notification capabilities of your mobile device.

Display a notification in the browser

To enable browser notifications when a new message arrives:

1. Click here to access the web app Mail Infomaniak (online service mail.infomaniak.com).
2. Click on the Settings icon ‍ in the top right corner.
3. Click on Browser in the left sidebar.
4. Turn on the toggle switch to Show a notification when new emails are received:
   

To remove this feature, turn off the toggle button. You will also need to revoke notification permissions directly in the browser (see the publisher's documentation).

Allow browser notifications…

... on Safari

1. Open Safari.
2. Click on Preferences and select Websites then Notifications.
3. Search for the site mail.infomaniak.com and select Allow.

1. Open Firefox.
2. Go to the main menu in Preferences or Settings.‍
3. Go to Privacy and Security in the left panel.
4. Scroll down to the Permissions section.
5. Click on the Settings button to the right of Notifications.
6. Search for the site mail.infomaniak.com and select Allow.

… on Google Chrome

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Click at the top right on the More menu ⋮ > Settings.
3. Go to Privacy and security, then click on Site settings.
4. Click on Notifications and choose to allow notifications:
   • Allow a site: next to the Allow option, click on Add. Enter the URL: https://mail.infomaniak.com, then click on Add.

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Click on the menu at the top right, then click on Settings.
3. Go to the Cookies and site permissions menu.
4. Click on Notifications:
   • Allow a site: next to the Allow option, click on Add. Enter the URL: https://mail.infomaniak.com, then click on Add.
