Does kDrive allow multiple people to work together on the same file at the same time?
Yes, all of the packages allow you to work together on Word, Excel and PowerPoint files in real time.
How is my data kept secure with Infomaniak Drive?
By storing your data with kDrive, you'll enjoy at least 6 security guarantees:
The location of our data centres is not divulged, and access to them is protected by several airlocks as well as a cutting-edge monitoring system.
Infomaniak systematically isolates and encrypts your data on its servers. Even if one person was able to access the server storing your files without authorisation, they would not be able to use your data.
With the safe, you can encrypt your data with your own key, adding yet another layer of security (coming soon).
Our infrastructure is regularly subjected to external security audits and we are committed to working quickly in response to security updates on the systems that we manage.
Your data is constantly being copied onto at least three physical media. This guarantees that you will never lose the smallest piece of information.
We are NSA non-compatible. Infomaniak is an independent company that is not listed on the stock market. Swiss law on data protection ensures complete confidentiality for both companies and individuals, and no administration may access personal information without the explicit permission of a judge.
Does Infomaniak respect the privacy of my data?
Yes, we do not analyse or resell your data. With the Pro plan, indexing of your folders' content is deactivated by default, giving you complete control over your data.
Can I create and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents?
Yes, kDrive is 100% compatible with Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, and all of our plans allow you to view and edit docx, odt, xlsx, ods, pptx and odp file types. You can also install and use the OnlyOffice applications on your computer and mobile devices for free.
Can I share a Drive with multiple users?
Yes, the Team package (6 users) and the Pro package (from 3 users) allow you to share a Drive with several people. You can adjust each user's access rights and create shared folders, making it easy for everyone to work together on projects.
Is it possible to restore deleted data using kDrive?
Yes, you can restore deleted files from the recycle bin and even recover an old version of each file. You can never lose even the smallest piece of important information.
Is kDrive compatible with my smartphone and my computer?
Yes, kDrive applications are optimised for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android and all of the major internet browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
Or is my data stored with Infomaniak Drive?
Infomaniak designs and operates its own TIER 3+ datacenters in Geneva, in the heart of Europe. By storing your data with Infomaniak Drive, this means you'll always know for certain where your data is held.
Is Infomaniak Drive GDPR compliant?
Yes, and you can ask us for access, modification, restitution or removal of your personal information. Your data is exclusively stored in Infomaniak's data centres in Switzerland, and we undertake to never use them outside the service to which you have subscribed. We protect and process your personal information as if it were our own.
Is it possible to increase a Drive's storage space?
Yes, it is possible at any time to increase the storage space of the Team and Pro plans in increments of 5 TB (CHF 38.75 / 5 TB). The Solo plan can only handle 2 TB of storage. At billing level, additional storage is billed pro rata to the current billing period.
If, however, you decide to reduce your storage space again, please note that no refunds will be made for the remainder of the current billing period.
What are the differences between the Solo, Team and Pro plans?
The differences between the kDrive options are mainly in terms of storage space and user management.
The Solo plan can only manage 1 user (not scalable) and 2 TB of storage (not scalable).
The Team plan can manage multiple users (6 included and maximum users) and up to 18 TB (3 TB included).
The Pro plan can manage multiple users (3 included users) and up to 106 TB (6 TB included). It also allows you to add as many users as necessary and to search the contents of the files.
