This guide explains how to force synchronization of contacts & calendars when they are synchronized by kSync on an Android smartphone.
Indeed, kSync only synchronizes the contacts & calendars that are selected in the application.
If you subsequently add calendars/schedules from Calendar or address books from Contacts, it is necessary to add them to the synchronization in the kSync application.
Add a calendar / address book to the synchronization
To force synchronization:
- Open the kSync application on your Android device
- Tap on Refresh address books / calendars
- The new address books and calendars will appear in the list
This guide explains how to create email addresses in bulk instead of adding them one by one within an Infomaniak Mail Service.
Prerequisites
- Have a tool for managing CSV files (e.g., OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet).
- First, order the number of email addresses (quota) you want to use after importing; your Mail Service must be configured for the desired number of addresses, for example, here you can create 4 addresses in bulk:
Get the Example CSV File
Importation is carried out using a CSV file that, once filled out, can be imported to add the addresses all at once to your Mail Service.
To download the CSV file for configuring address creation:
- Log in to the Infomaniak Manager (manager.infomaniak.com) using a web browser like Brave or Firefox.
- Click on the icon at the top right of the interface (or navigate using the left sidebar menu, for example).
- Choose Mail Service (under Collaborative Tools).
- Click on the name of the object concerned in the displayed table.
- Click on the chevron to the right of the blue address creation button.
- Click on Create multiple email addresses
- Download the provided template (CSV file)
Complete the CSV File
The CSV file contains:
- A first row with the column title (leave it as is) indicating what to write in the cells.
- Two rows containing an example (replace these examples).
- The first column (A) should contain the desired email address (only the part before the @ symbol).
- The second column (B) should contain the password to be used for the address on the same row (the password must be secure enough for the file import to be accepted).
- The third and fourth columns are optional (you can leave them completely empty) unless you want the address being created with us to be redirected to another one, and in that case:
- (C): Specify the complete destination email address.
- (D): Specify 0 to retain emails after redirection or 1 to delete them.
Import the CSV File
To start the import of your CSV file:
- Once the .csv file is completed, save it in the same format as the provided template.
- Click on the chevron to the right of the blue address creation button.
- Click on Create multiple email addresses.
- Click on Select a CSV file.
- Browse your hard drive and select your CSV file.
- Click on Continue, after a few minutes, the email addresses will be added according to the instructions in the imported file.
