Managing Languages and Translations in Site Creator
This guide explains how to change the language of the interface of Infomaniak's Site Creator as well as managing translations of your pages.
Changing the interface language
To modify the language of Site Creator:
- Log in to the Infomaniak Manager (manager.infomaniak.com) from a web browser like Brave or Edge
- Click on the icon at the top right of the interface (or navigate using the left side menu for example)
- Choose Hosting (Web & Domain universe)
- Click on the name of the relevant object in the displayed table
- Click on Site Creator in the left side menu
- Click on Customize my site
Once in Site Creator:
- In the left side menu, click on the Settings button
- Click on General Settings
A dropdown menu allows you to change the language of the Site Creator editor interface (this will also translate some elements accessible by the visitor, such as the Search button in the search bar, etc.).
Offer your site in multiple languages
To offer a translation of your site:
- Under Applications, click on the Translations application
You can add or remove languages in which your site will be translated.
Using the mouse, move the languages in the desired order (which affects the language selection dropdown menu).
By clicking on the editing pencil that appears when hovering over a language block, you can rename the item and choose whether the translation should be automatic or accessible at a specific URL (if you have created a manually translated page elsewhere, for example).
Once the languages are determined and sorted in the upper part (don't forget to save your changes at the bottom of the page), activate the language selection menu in the header to give the visitor the choice of language through a dropdown menu at the top of the page:
