kMeet: securing an online meeting (password, encryption key)
This guide explains how to add a password and an encryption key to a kMeet meeting.

Protecting a meeting with a password
After creating your meeting room, you can protect it with a password that you will need to provide to all your participants to enable them to log on.
- Go to kmeet.infomaniak.com or one of the applications
- Create your meeting room
- Define a password in the options to the left
- Join the meeting
- Share the link or the meeting code as well as the password with your participants
Securing a meeting with a custom encryption code
This feature only functions with our office applications and on updated browsers based on Chromium architecture (e.g., Chromium, Opera, Brave, Google Chrome, etc.). All participants must enter the selected encryption code to hear the conversations. If they do not, they will only hear a loud crackling noise.
- Go to kmeet.infomaniak.com or one of the applications
- Create your meeting room
- Create an encryption key in the options to the left
- Join the meeting
- Share the link or the meeting code as well as the encryption key with your participants

- Activate the Password
- Click Save
- Share the link or the meeting code as well as the password with your participants
