This guide explains how to use the automatic transcription feature in kMeet, Infomaniak's ethical free video conferencing solution, which allows real-time subtitles to be displayed during meetings, thus facilitating understanding of exchanges and meeting accessibility needs, or even translation at a later time.

Preamble

• If the moderator enables subtitles, then all participants in the videoconference will be able to activate the feature (even users without kSuite or anonymous users).

Automatically transcribe participants' remarks

You can display an automatic transcription of the participants' statements during a kMeet meeting:

1. Start the app kMeet (Web, desktop or mobile).
2. Create or join a meeting room.
3. Allow access to at least your microphone.
4. Click on the ○○○ icon in the toolbar.
5. Click on Enable subtitles.
6. What is said by the participants is displayed at the bottom of your kMeet window:
   
7. To stop displaying the transcription on your screen, click again on the appropriate menu (see point 5 above).
