Forward an email address to one or more other addresses
This guide explains how to automatically forward new messages from an email address managed at Infomaniak to the email account of your choice, even if it's entirely external to Infomaniak.
Add a Forwarding from Mail Infomaniak
Prerequisites
- Have a valid access to Mail Infomaniak where the email address is associated.
- Have permission to modify the password of the email address. If you were invited to Mail to manage your address, the Mail Service manager may have removed this right from his admin account.
To access your Infomaniak mailbox:
- Log in to Mail Infomaniak (mail.infomaniak.com) using a web browser like Brave or Firefox.
- Click on the icon at the top right of the interface.
- Click on Email Addresses.
- Verify or select the relevant email address from the drop-down menu.
- Click on Forwarding (under Email Address Settings)
- Click on the blue button Add a forwarding.
- Enter a destination email address per line.
- Click on Add.
Add Forwarding from Mail Service
To access Mail Service:
- Log in to Infomaniak Manager (manager.infomaniak.com) using a web browser like Brave or Firefox.
- Click on the icon at the top right of the interface (or navigate using the left side menu, for example).
- Select Mail Service (under Collaborative Tools).
- Click on the name of the relevant object in the table that appears.
- Click on the email address in question in the table that appears.
- Click on the Forwarding and Aliases tab or from the left side menu.
- Click on the blue button Add forwarding
- Enter a destination email address.
- Click the blue + button to add more email addresses.
- Click Confirm to finish adding.
- Click the toggle button / to Keep or not keep a copy of emails on the email address after forwarding.
Copy or Move?
Once a forwarding email address is added, you can check the box to delete emails from the server after forwarding. The redirection then becomes a move rather than a copy.
Delete Email Forwardings
You cannot apply the forwarding service to multiple email addresses of a domain in one operation. However, the reverse is possible, and you can select all the addresses of a Mail Service and remove any forwarding.
In Case of Problems
Emails considered as spam by Infomaniak will not be forwarded.
