Managing kDrive data of a removed user
This guide explains how to manage the retained files of a user removed from a kDrive if you want to reuse and free up space for the user without having to modify the maximum number of users of your kDrive.
Indeed, if a user of a kDrive is deleted and you had chosen to keep their files (pending a decision on what to do with them), you must choose between deleting them permanently or assigning them to another user for 6 months (now mandatory choice upon deletion of the user).
Transfer or delete data from a removed user
To access kDrive:
- Log in to the Infomaniak Manager (manager.infomaniak.com) from a web browser like Brave or Edge
- Click on the icon in the top right corner of the interface (or navigate through the left sidebar menu, for example)
- Choose kDrive (universe Collaborative Tools)
- Click on the name of the relevant object in the displayed table
- Click on the action menu â‹® to the right of your kDrive's name
- Click on Manage users
- Click on the action menu â‹® to the right of the "removed" user
- Click on Manage files
- Choose the destination user or permanently delete the files
- Click on the button at the bottom right to confirm your choice
