Restore a WordPress & Apps application
This guide explains how to restore an automatic backup of an application in WordPress & Apps by Infomaniak (Joomla, Drupal, Typo3, PrestaShop, ownCloud, etc.) included in paid Web Hosting offers.
⚠️ This does not apply to WordPress, which can be backed up and restored through the automatic hosting backup (or via the Duplicator extension, for example, allowing you to manually create a complete backup, including an easy reinstallation file)
Restoring a WordPress & Apps Application
To access App backups:
- Log in to the Infomaniak Manager (manager.infomaniak.com) using a web browser like Brave or Firefox
- Click on the icon in the top right corner of the interface (or navigate through the left side menu, for example)
- Select Hosting (under Web & Domain universe)
- Click on the name of the relevant object displayed in the table
- Click on My Sites in the left-side menu
- Click on WordPress & Apps in the left-side menu
- Click on the Configure button of the relevant web application
- Click on the Backups tab
- Click on the â‹® action menu on the right of the version to restore
- Click Restore (or Delete to remove this backup file)
If the Backups page is empty, it likely means that backups are disabled. To address this, click on the General tab and modify the settings in the Automatic Backup section.
On the FTP server, the files corresponding to different backups are available under /application-backups/.
