Can I import my videos from another site?
You can specify an import source URL, whether it’s a direct link to a video file or an external video platform such as YouTube, Vimeo, or Twitch.
We support over 1800 different external sources. As the list is very long, the easiest way is to simply test the desired URL directly.Can I share my videos on social media?
There are two ways to encourage people to share your videos on social media:
Enable sharing via the Infomaniak player. This way, every viewer will be able to share the video on their own social media accounts. Generate a share link yourself so you can post it directly on your social media accounts.
Currently, the networks available for sharing are Facebook, X, LinkedIn and WhatsApp, as well as sharing via direct link.What languages are available for subtitle generation?
If you activate automatic AI-generated subtitles or translation into other languages, the languages currently supported are French, English, German, Italian and Spanish.
If you import a subtitle file or use the text entry assistance tool, you can, of course, use any language.What video qualities can VOD support?
Infomaniak's VOD platform supports all formats (HLS, DASH, MP4, etc.) and standard resolutions (720p, 1080p, 4K, etc.), and you can freely customise your encoding settings as needed. By default, videos are encoded to support multibitrate in order to provide the best possible experience for your viewers, regardless of their Internet connection speed.What are the advantages of the HLS or DASH format?
The HLS and DASH formats are more reliable, secure and faster than the MP4 format. Also known as multibitrate or adaptive bitrate, this technology divides the media into a sequence of small files:- The quality automatically adapts to your viewers' bandwidth or resolution.
- Streaming is much less likely to be interrupted when network quality deteriorates, such as on public transportation.
- It's much more complicated to download your content by retrieving the mp4 link directly.
If you want to offer your visitors the option of downloading a single MP4 file, it is entirely possible to do both.

VOD / AOD is a platform for storing, encoding and streaming video and audio content. You can also archive and organise your media using a tree structure, just like on your computer.How is the proposed usage calculated in the different offers?
Consumption refers to the storage space used and the bandwidth consumed to stream your media.
Example using the Pro plan with 5 TB:
If you have 100 GB of video stored on your space, 4.9 TB are then allocated for streaming (or downloading) these videos by your users.
At the end of each billing month, the counter resets to 0, thereby restoring the 5 TB (storage used + bandwidth consumption).What sources are supported?

Both solutions are possible.
We provide a complete player that can be integrated using an iframe tag for each video. If you’ve kept the default encoding settings, the player will automatically adjust the video quality to suit your viewers’ conditions. The Infomaniak player is customisable and includes a wide range of features: watermarks, chaptering, playlists, ads, Chromecast, Picture-in-Picture, and more
If you want to develop your own player or use a third-party solution, we provide all the necessary integration links (thumbnail, poster, multi-bitrate link, single-bitrate link, etc.).Is it possible to monetise my videos or podcasts?
Yes, our player supports the integration of VAST / VPAID tags provided by ad agencies. This allows you to display PRE / MID /POST-ROLL ads based on your needs.Why pay for a VOD / AOD service when some providers offer it for free?
- You have little or no control over the advertising displayed on your media. If you are paid (and you might not be), you only get a small percentage of the revenue.
- The player imposes a logo, which doesn't align with your brand image.

Infomaniak's encoding and player are fully compatible with 360° videos. This means you can use this format alongside traditional formats.
