Simply upload your files to swisstransfer.com or via our mobile app (iOS/Android). Set the validity period and security settings, then share the generated link or enter your recipients' email addresses directly. You can send up to 50 Go with just a few clicks, free of charge.
You can send up to 50 GB per transfer (combined file size). There is no limit on the number of monthly transfers. If you need to transfer a complex directory structure or dozens of files, we recommend compressing them first (.zip format) to speed up the upload.
When uploading, specify how many times your files can be downloaded. Up to 250 downloads are free, and unlimited with a paid plan. You can also choose an availability period ranging from 1 to 30 days (or even 60 with the Enterprise plan).
No, no account is required—neither for the sender nor for the recipient. To ensure the security of the service, you’ll only be asked to verify your email address once when you send your first message from a new device. Logging in (optional) to an Infomaniak account allows you to customize the appearance of your emails and access a complete history.
Only the people to whom you send the sharing link can download your files. If you want to keep track of your file transfers, logging in (optional) to an Infomaniak account gives you access to a complete history and centralized management of all your transfers.
Absolutely. Your files are stored exclusively in Switzerland at Infomaniak’s data centers. They are protected by state-of-the-art encryption both in transit (TLS/AES-GCM) and at rest (LUKS/AES 256-bit). In addition, URLs are encrypted, access can be password-protected, and your data is never analyzed or used to train AI models.
You can fully customize your interface (domain name, logo, colors, background images, links to your social media accounts) by using the service through an Infomaniak kSuite plan and customize the URLs using the Custom Brand option.
No. To ensure strict confidentiality, files are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers once their validity period has expired. It is technically no longer possible to reactivate an expired link—neither for you nor for our technical support team.
No, SwissTransfer is a temporary file-sharing service designed so that data is deleted after it has been shared. For long-term storage, secure backups, or collaborative work, we recommend using long-term solutions such as kDrive or Swiss Backup.
