The .FR extension is the official extension for France. It’s available to individuals resident in the EU member states and companies established in Europe, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. It allows a website to be given a French identity! Some administrative information is required when ordering, which you can exclude from a whois if the holder’s an individual.
