Save a kMeet meeting to kDrive

Update 07/07/2026

This guide explains how to start recording an online meeting organized with kMeet, Infomaniak's ethical and free video conferencing solution, in order to obtain a video of the session stored on kDrive Infomaniak (this will only happen when a user stops the recording).

Introduction

  • Video recording
    • is done on the server side
    • does not put any load on the participant's computer who started it
    • is in .mp4 video format
    • has a maximum duration of 3 hours.
  • The video will not be available if everyone leaves the video conference without someone stopping the recording.
    • In other words, steps 7 and below are mandatory for the recording to work!
