Create and send a newsletter

Newsletters are managed from the left-hand menu, under the Campaigns section. This section allows you to view previous sends and create new campaigns:

  1. Click here to access the Newsletter management section in your Infomaniak Manager.
    • If nothing is displayed, you may not be in the Organization to which your Newsletter is linked (❓: help).
  2. Click on the domain name associated with your mailings:
  3. Click on Campaigns in the left-hand menu.
  4. Click on Create a campaign:

  5. Enter the sender's name, which will be visible to the recipient.
  6. Enter the sender's email address; this address must exist and be valid among the addresses configured for the domain associated with your Newsletter.
  7. Choose the language used for ancillary communications, including the unsubscribe message.
  8. Enable or disable statistical tracking (❓: help).

  2. Otherwise, click on the Templates tab.
  3. Hover over a predefined template to start editing it or to display a preview.
  4. Click on the blank template to start a new creation using the block editor:

3. Write and format the content

  1. Your changes are saved automatically; you can undo them at any time, preview how your newsletter will look on a computer or mobile device, or send a test email (❓: help).
  2. The Sections tab groups together various predefined elements, including blocks for the header and footer.
  3. Click on the chevron ‍ to expand the content and select an element:
  4. Click on the Blocks tab to access simpler elements that you can use to create the layout of your newsletter.
  5. Drag and drop the desired elements into the right-hand sidebar, at the desired location:

    1. You can format the text using the toolbar that appears above it; you can also insert variables there (❓: help).
    2. The general settings for the element are accessible in the left sidebar; you can, for example, change the background color or select a file for image blocks (maximum 5 MB).
    3. You can move, duplicate, or delete the block itself:
  7. Click on Styles to configure the visual characteristics of the different elements.
  8. Select the elements you want to customize.
  9. For example, you can add a border to the buttons.
  10. This change will affect all new button insertions, as well as existing buttons that have not been individually customized:

  12. During registration, if the mandatory information regarding unsubscription is missing, it will be automatically added to your content:
  13. You can save your template to reuse it when creating other newsletters; it will then be available in the corresponding tab (see step 2 above). To do this, click on the downward-pointing chevron ‍ located to the right of the save button:
  14. Once you have finished writing your newsletter, click the save button in the top right corner.

  4. You can also exclude subscribers belonging to specific groups from the total number of recipients (❓: help); you can also select only one group.
  5. The total number of recipients to whom the newsletter will be sent is automatically updated based on your choices:

To select recipients based on specific criteria / segmentation (❓: help):

  1. Click on the Advanced tab:

This tab allows you to add selection criteria. Please note: when multiple criteria are defined, the conditions can be linked by "AND" or "OR". Depending on their combination, a significant number of subscribers may be included or excluded from the selection.

As in the previous tab, the total number of recipients is automatically updated at the bottom of the page, based on your choices.

5. Preview and test the sending

This penultimate step summarizes the main features of your sending. It allows you to check them and modify any information that needs to be corrected before proceeding.

Once everything is ready, click the blue button in the bottom right corner to proceed to the final step.

6. Schedule or start sending

This final step allows you to choose the time at which your newsletter will be sent:

  • You can schedule the sending for a specific time or trigger it immediately:
  • Sending may take several hours, depending on the total volume of newsletters being sent, the number of recipients, and the hourly quota allowed for your account; you will be informed of its progress.
