Managing Site Creator Pages
This guide concerns the Infomaniak Site Creator, which allows you to create a complete website consisting of several pages:
- The homepage, mandatory (with or without header and footer)
- Additional pages, blank or containing specific content directly (such as a contact form)
- Legal pages (to include your terms of service, for example)
which will then form the site's navigation menu(s).
Add a page to the site
To access Site Creator:
- Log in to the Infomaniak Manager (manager.infomaniak.com) from a web browser like Brave or Edge
- Click on the icon at the top right of the interface (or navigate through the left side menu, for example)
- Select Hosting (Web & Domain universe)
- Click on the name of the relevant object in the displayed table
- Click on Site Creator in the left side menu
- Click on Customize my site
Once in Site Creator:
- In the left side menu, click on the Settings button - the list of your pages will appear
- Click on the Add a page button below the existing tree structure:
- Choose a page name and Show more options to select the type of page and other settings
Copy / Duplicate a page
To do this:
- In the left side menu, click on the Settings button - the list of your pages will appear
- Hover over the desired page in the existing tree structure
- Click on the duplicate icon that appears when hovering
Another option: Go to the page you want to copy. Under Settings, click on the Add a page button below the existing tree structure and select Copy / Duplicate under Show more options:
Rename a page
To do this:
- Click on the Settings button in the left side menu - the list of your pages will appear
- Hover over the desired page in the existing tree structure
- Click on the gear icon to access the page options:
Another option: Under Settings, on the existing tree structure, you can directly rename your pages and then Save changes at the bottom of the page:
Attention, renaming a page changes its URL.
Change the order of pages
To do this:
- In the left side menu, click on the Settings button - the list of your pages will appear
- In the existing tree structure, you can directly drag your pages to change their order (this mainly affects the display of pages within a menu) then Save changes at the bottom of the page:
Delete a page
- In the left side menu, click on the Settings button - the list of your pages will appear
- Hover over the desired page in the existing tree structure
- Click on the trash can that appears when hovering
- Confirm deletion, and the page disappears without the possibility of undoing
Another option: Go to the page you want to delete. Under Settings, click on the red Trash button at the bottom of the page to delete it.
Create a password-protected page
- In the left side menu, click on the Settings button - the list of your pages will appear
- Hover over the desired page in the existing tree structure
- Click on the gear icon to access the page options
- Activate the password protection option to set the password that will be required when viewing the page:
- Save the changes at the bottom of the page
To test, visit the page from a browser in private mode (to avoid being connected to Site Creator) or preview the page from the editor.
Add a "hidden" page
To add a page that will not appear in the main menu (but will remain accessible through its direct address and through a search engine indexing your page, as well as in the site map if desired):
- In the left side menu, click on the Settings button - the list of your pages will appear
- Hover over the desired page in the existing tree structure
- Click on the gear icon to access the page options
- Select the last display type to hide the page in the navigation and determine if you still want to include the page in the site map:
- Save the changes at the bottom of the page
Another option: Hover over the desired page in the existing tree structure and click on the page icon to the left of your page name until the crossed-out eye appears:
Save the changes at the bottom of the page.
If necessary, you can create a link to this page from another one, as the hidden page will still appear in the list of site pages when adding an internal link:
