Change the owner of a .es domain

Once you have submitted your domain ownership change request with Infomaniak, you will receive an email containing two codes required to change the domain ownership with the registry https://www.red.es/es, which manages domain names for the .es extension.

Connecting to red.es

If you already have your credentials, log in directly at www.nic.es/sgnd/login.action.

Otherwise, here's how to obtain your credentials:

1. Go to https://www.dominios.es/es and search for your domain name.
2. Once your domain is selected, you will be redirected to the Domain details page if the site is in English.
3. Retrieve your ID (Identifier) in the ADMINISTRATIVE CONTACT PERSON section. It is usually in the format 1A4446A-ESNIC-F5.
4. Go to www.nic.es/sgnd/login.action and click on Retrieve password.
5. Enter the ID you received to have your password sent to you by email (this may take a few minutes).
6. Then, log in with your credentials.

Initiate the ownership change

1. Once logged in, select the Domain Transfer Request menu.
2. Enter your domain name to display the current owner.
3. In the Identifier field of New registrant, enter the owner code provided by Infomaniak.
4. In the Identifier field of New ACP (PCA in Spanish), enter the administrator code provided by Infomaniak.
5. Click on Continue.
6. Add an identity verification document (passport or ID card) to validate the request with red.es.

Finalize the change of ownership

1. The new administrator will receive an email from the registry to confirm the transfer.
2. They must log in to the red.es interface with their ID (administrator code received in the first email) before confirming the request.
3. As before, they must add a document to verify their identity.
4. In the New registrant's conditions acceptance form, enter KEY-SYSTEMS in the Accredited Registrar field and do not change anything else to ensure the transfer proceeds smoothly.
5. A summary of the request will be displayed, confirming that the ownership change has been completed.
