DynDNS: updating a dynamic DNS via the API
This guide provides instructions on how to use the API to update your dynamic DNS record.
For this, execute a POST query (GET also allowed) to the following URL: https://infomaniak.com/nic/update
The API requires the HTTPS protocol. Here is an example of a query: https://username:firstname.lastname@example.org/nic/update?hostname=subdomain.yourdomain.com&myip=22.214.171.124
This alternative query can be used as well: https://infomaniak.com/nic/update?hostname=subdomain.yourdomain.com&myip=126.96.36.199&username=XXX&password=XXX
Failure to specify myip will include the source IP of the query by default.
Be sure to connect an IPv4 or IPv6, depending on the type of record to update (A or AAAA).
