Flexible pricing

Jelastic Cloud offers a flexible pricing model that adapts to all types of usage:

• The resources of your PaaS are provisioned with granular units, Cloudlets: the power of your environments is thus determined based on the number of Cloudlets you allocate to them, a Cloudlet offering 128 MB of RAM and 400 MHz of CPU.
• Vertical and horizontal automatic scaling of resources ensures you get the best performance for your applications without paying for unused resources.
• By consuming Cloudlets, you automatically benefit from discounts of up to 65%.

Difference between reserved and dynamic Cloudlets

When creating a container, you can choose to allocate reserved and dynamic Cloudlets to your environment:

• Reserved Cloudlets are resources available at all times; they are more cost-effective than dynamic Cloudlets, but they are billed regardless of usage.
• Dynamic Cloudlets are resources that activate during consumption peaks; they are only billed when used and according to your rules.

If you are unable to estimate the reserved resources you need, it is recommended to start with a limited number of Cloudlets and adjust your configuration later. The 14-day trial period also allows you to assess your needs with no commitment.
