To try to resolve the following error:

Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for email@domain.xyz. Error: An unexpected internal error occurred. It is suggested that you restart your client. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)

1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
2. Click on File and then on Options.
3. In the menu on the left, click on Advanced options.
4. Click on the Send/Receive... button.
5. Click on Change.
6. Check the box Use the custom behavior below.
7. Check the boxes for the folders to be synchronized.
8. Check the box Download entire items (including attachments) for subscribed folders.
9. Save the changes and close the options window.
