This guide helps you troubleshoot configuration errors if you are experiencing difficulties linking your domain name to Site Creator.
Common issues and solutions
Identify the current status of your domain to apply the appropriate solution:
| Domain name status | Recommended solution |
|---|---|
| Managed by another provider (external) | Order a DNS zone or transfer the domain to Infomaniak |
| Already associated with a website or defined as an alias (synonym) | Delete the existing website or detach the domain |
| Currently using a dedicated IP address | Uninstall the dedicated IP |
| Protected by an SSL certificate (Self-signed, DV or EV) | Uninstall the certificate |
| Insufficient permissions on the hosting | Modify access rights |
