This guide explains how to host multiple websites on the same platform, both from a technical and administrative perspective.

Technical operation

A web hosting plan can host multiple websites:

• In this case, the resources of this hosting plan (disk space, databases, memory, etc.) are shared among all the websites hosted on it.

With a Cloud Server, you have access to a larger infrastructure:

• For example, a standard offer may include 5 hosting accounts and allow you to create up to 20 websites. You are free to distribute these 20 websites across your 5 hosting accounts as needed.

Access Management

In the Infomaniak Manager, access rights apply to the hosting service as a whole:

• It is not possible to limit a user's access to a specific website: if they are invited to a hosting account, they will have access to all the websites it contains.

However, to restrict access to a single site, you can use these alternatives:

• On the server: create an FTP user and limit its access to the specific folder of the website.
• On the website itself: manage permissions and access directly from the website creation system (for example, with WordPress role management).
