Resolving an outgoing mail block
In order to combat SPAM and protect your contacts against the hacking of your email addresses, outgoing mail from an email address may be blocked.
These protection measures are automatic and do not affect incoming email.
Suspension of outgoing email
Sometimes, a large number of messages are sent from an email address hosted by Infomaniak. This may be INTENTIONAL or UNINTENTIONAL (e.g., if your address is hacked).
In both cases, Infomaniak runs the risk of being barred by providers like Yahoo or Gmail, which would affect all our clients. We have therefore set up security measures to reduce this risk to a minimum to guarantee the delivery of email and to protect your contacts against undesired email.
Unblocking outgoing mail
The person who is legally responsible and the user of the address are immediately informed by email if outgoing mail is blocked, and they have the possibility to rapidly unblock suspended mail via an unblocking tool:
- If the outgoing mail is legitimate, the address will be unblocked and you will not be bothered in the future with similar outgoing mail.
- Otherwise, you will be guided to modify the password of the email address in order to unblock the address.
