Resolve an outgoing email block

To fight spam and protect your contacts from your email addresses being hacked, it may happen that emails from an address are blocked (SMTPban). This protective measure is automatic and does not affect the reception of emails.

Suspension of sending

If an Infomaniak user's email address sends a large number of messages, this may be an action performed

  1. VOLUNTARILY

  2. or INVOLUNTARILY (for example in case of email hacking)

In both cases, Infomaniak risks being banned by providers such as Microsoft or Gmail, which would affect all customers.

Infomaniak has therefore implemented security measures to minimize this risk as much as possible to guarantee email deliverability and protect your contacts from unwanted emails.

Unblocking sending or securing the account

The legal representative and the user of the address are immediately informed by an email in case of sending being blocked; they then have the possibility to quickly unblock the suspended sending via an unblocking tool whose link is in the informative message:

  1. If the sending was legitimate, the address will be unblocked and you will no longer be blocked in the future with similar sendings.
  2. In the opposite case, you will be guided to change the email address password in order to unblock it.
