Resolve an outgoing mail blockage
To fight against spam and protect your contacts from email address hacking, it may happen that the sending from an email address is blocked (SMTPban). This protective measure is automatic and does not affect the reception of emails.
Suspension of outgoing mail
If an Infomaniak user's email address sends a large number of messages, this could be an action performed
- VOLUNTARY
- or UNINTENTIONAL (for example, in case of email hacking)
In both cases, Infomaniak risks being banned by providers like Microsoft or Gmail, which would affect all customers.
Infomaniak has therefore implemented security measures to minimize this risk as much as possible to ensure email deliverability and protect your contacts from unwanted emails.
Unlocking sends or securing the account
The legal representative and the user of the address are immediately notified by an email in case of sending being blocked; they then have the possibility to quickly unblock the suspended sends via an unblocking tool whose link is in the informative message:
- If the sending was legitimate, the address will be unblocked and you will not be blocked again in the future with similar sendings.
- In the opposite case, you will be guided to change the password of the email address in order to proceed with the unlocking.
