Applying CHMOD 777 to "/web" to gain write access to the root directory
Actions to be carried out
Using your FTP login details, log into the file manager
Move up to the top of the directory tree (green arrow in the top left)
Click on the Properties button (Gear wheel icon) to the right of the /web directory
You should then see an option to "Make folder writable for 1 hour" on the properties page
At the same place, you may reverse the operation before the hour is up.
For security reasons, we do not provide an option to apply CHMOD 777 to the /web directory permanently. If we were to do so, then should one of your PHP scripts be attacked and a vulnerability uncovered, this could allow any file below /web to be wiped.
