This guide explains how to set the Infomaniak Mail web app (online service mail.infomaniak.com) as the default email provider on web browsers that offer this option (Brave, Vivaldi, Firefox, etc., except Safari).

Set Infomaniak as the default email client

To configure the browsers to automatically use the Infomaniak email management interface when you click on mail links (for example, "mailto:" links) and/or when you try to send an email from a web page:

1. Click here to access the Web app Mail Infomaniak (online service mail.infomaniak.com).
2. Click on the Settings icon ‍ at the top right.
3. Click on Browser.
4. Click on Set Mail as default:
   
5. Follow the instructions provided by the browser in use (a notification should appear at the top of the window):
   

In case of trouble...

To resolve issues using Mail Infomaniak as the default email client, follow the manual instructions for your usual browser:

...on Firefox

1. Open Firefox.
2. In the menu bar, enter about:preferences
3. In the sidebar, go to General, then Applications
4. In the "Type and Content" column, select mailto
5. Click on Always ask and select « mail.infomaniak.com » as the email manager:

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. In the menu bar, enter chrome://settings/handlers.
