Nicecast support
Advice and unknown limitations
We recommend that you only use Nicecast for encoding streams in MP3 format.
If you try to configure an AAC stream via Nicecast, it will encode the stream in MP3 format under an AAC extension. Although our servers accept streams which are not transmitted in the format configured in your encoder, certain readers will refuse to read your stream if its encoding format does not correspond to the encoding format configured in your encoder (e.g.: iTunes, VLC, etc.).
