FTP: limit to the number of simultaneous connections
The FTP connections which can be simultaneously established to a hosting account's FTP space are limited to 25.
The error message "530 Sorry, the maximum number of clients (25) for this user are already connected" generally appears following multiple connections using an FTP program that cannot handle disconnections properly or which tries to open several connections at the same time in the hope of accelerating download speed.
Once you have obtained this error, you need to close the FTP client and then wait 30 minutes for the server to cut the active connections and so that you may reconnect.
You can also create a new FTP user and log in with it.
To avoid this situation with Filezilla, go to the Edit -> Configuration menu and then to the Transfers tab and set the number of simultaneous transfers to 2.
However, we recommend the use of our FTP manager.
