SMS for specific e-mails in Mail Infomaniak
This guide explains how to receive an SMS alert for the arrival of an email on Infomaniak Mail based on very specific reception criteria.
Prerequisites
- Have an Infomaniak Mail account
- Attach the email address to monitor within it
- Provide a mobile phone number in your account details (or send the alert to a new number to be defined, but it's not possible to send an SMS to multiple phone numbers for the same alert; multiple alarms can be registered, and you can specify a different number each time)
- Have SMS credits (the cost of an alert is similar to manually sending an SMS to your phone; without sufficient credit, the SMS alert will not work)
Add an SMS Alert for Email Reception
To access the Mail Service:
- Log in to the Infomaniak Manager (manager.infomaniak.com) using a web browser like Brave or Firefox
- Click on the icon at the top right of the interface (or navigate using the left side menu, for example)
- Select SMS
- Choose Email Alert from the left side menu
- Click on Add Alert
- Provide a name for the alert, select the email address to monitor, and choose or provide a phone number:
- Click Save
Please Note
- You can further customize the SMS alert with different filters (sender, subject, message content)
- To receive an SMS alert for all emails received in the inbox (not recommended), add "@" in the sender's address
- The search is implicitly wildcarded; the criteria are "contains" criteria, so they are *words*...
- No alert SMS will be sent if the email to be notified is an Infomaniak discussion list
