Integrating variables into a Newsletter
This guide explains how to add tags (codes and variables) into the body of your text to personalize your emails with Infomaniak Newsletter.
Manage Custom Fields
To add a variable (such as name, surname, etc.) into your text from a field present on your subscriber list, you simply need to, in a wysiwyg theme, click on the button titled CUSTOM FIELDS to insert the desired field.
With a pure HTML template, insert the name of the variable in uppercase surrounded by asterisks and separator dashes: *|VARIABLE-NAME|*
For the names/surnames of your subscribers, the tags are:
*|FIRSTNAME|**|LASTNAME|*
This variable can also be integrated into an HREF link, for example https://domain.xyz?name=*|LASTNAME|*
To place an unsubscribe link ("unsubscribe") at the desired location, insert *|UNSUBSCRIBED|* but without any action on your part, this link is automatically inserted at the bottom of your Newsletter.
To manually add a link to an online version of your newsletter, insert *|ARCHIVE|* but without any action on your part, this link is automatically inserted at the top of your Newsletter.
