Copying or moving e-mails from the inbox and subfolders of one e-mail account to another
There are several methods that will enable you to copy e-mails from one account to another. The task may prove to be somewhat cumbersome depending on the version of your e-mail software and the number of e-mails and subfolders etc. in question, and we unfortunately cannot provide extra support on this subject.
Steps to be taken
email@example.com contains messages in its inbox, in both a folder and subfolder.
firstname.lastname@example.org has just been set up and needs to receive all of the content from the anna.a inbox.
You must therefore configure both IMAP accounts in an e-mail application such as Mozilla Thunderbird (free). To see the subfolders, you may need to use the subscribe option. Then, simply drag the folders from one account to another. A copy will be made. There is a small exception with "official" folders such as "Archives", for example. The content of these must be selected and then dragged to the chosen folder. By default, this is therefore a move operation and not a copy.
