Temporarily suspending a hosting acount / Suspending a website so it displays a blank or error page and is set to be offline
A relatively simple method consists in setting up an HTML page to be displayed by default instead of your website. It can be blank or contain a maintenance message. By default, the first page to be called is index.html.
Actions to be carried out
Connect to the FTP Manager
Create a new file in the /web folder
If an index.html file already exists at this location, rename it to index.old for example
Create a new index.html file
Consequently, a blank page should be displayed when trying to access your website.
If you wish to display a message, enter your desired message in your index page in HTML format; line breaks, for example, should be specified as "<br/>"
You can also perform these operations using a text editor and an FTP client.
Another solution would be to edit the DNS Info of your domain name directly. However, be aware that disabling them will cause the emails to cease to function too.
